Why our Ultralight Tents are so Light

To get the weight of our tents down to the lightest weight possible we use siliconized nylon. This fabric is not only extremely light but is highly waterproof.

We also have pole-less tents which are ideal for those who use hiking poles. Hiking poles or smooth branches can be used to erect these tents. This reduces the weight of our tents dramatically. For these tents we can also make poles which will add about 200 g of weight. Alternatively we having hiking poles available.

Caring for your Ultralight Tent

Always use a ground sheet to protect the bottom of your tent. The groundsheet will also act as another layer of insulation from the cold. Also ensure the surface is clear of sharp objects which may push through the floor of the tent.

Before packing your tent away ensure there are no sharp or pointed objects inside. These can tear a hole in your tent while rolling it up.

Ensure you dry your ultralight tent out in the sun as much as you can before heading out. If you don’t have time, try and cover your pack with your tent so it drys as you walk. When you return home ensure your tent is completely dry before packing it away.
